This is one big lie we have told ourselves in the bid to remain complacent and stay where we are. Just good is not good enough. You(it) has to be excellent, you(it) has to be perfect. 99.9 isn't acceptable, go the extra mile to reach a hundred percent.
Just imagine how many people would have lost their lives or contracted a disease if doctors were to stay on a just good enough 99.9 accuracy level or how many people would have lost their monies if banks we're 99.9% accurate about deposits and cash transactions. Have you ever wondered how many people would have been poisoned if a farmer wasn't accurate enough to who which chemical should be used as fertilizers.
The truth is that many of us criticize perfectionism because we are scared to fail, or we don't see failure as a prerequisite for success and as such we accept anything even if its not good enough hiding under the shades of no body is perfect. images (1).jpgimage source :mattharridedd.com
Listen, perfectionism is the willingness to do what is difficult so as to achieve what is right and it starts from the little details we pay attention to.
We might want to see perfectionism as a character flaw but see it as a push to reach your full potential.
You can be human and be excellent and have things done excellently. So if you see a flaw, a loophole that needs attention, go the extra mile to fill it up.
100% is achievable
Excellence is achievable
You can be human and be perfect. It takes a little bit of work.....
