Heya Steemers!
So it seems 2-Strokes are officially cool again haha, i think this has a little something to do with the fact Red Bull straight Rhythm is going to be 2-Stroke only this year. I think it's cool that people are realizing that older tech is not necessarily a bad thing. Sure, nobody can argue that progress is inevitable in any industry and people will always strive to push innovations through that will make the bikes better, faster and handle sharper. Sometimes though this comes as the cost of the riders and many could argue that faster and better handling bikes have pushed the sport to speeds which make it more dangerous if and when something goes wrong.
That being said, its also good that there are options out there still in this day and age. It's so easy to get caught up in making sure everyone has the same advantage on the track and forgetting that some people are better and riding certain ways. To ride a 2-Stroke well you have to carry momentum into corners as you do not have the low end torque of a 4-Stroke to get you back going again. That is why you see 2-Strokes carry long sweeping lines through a corner when possible rather than cutting in tight and squaring it off.
So this time we get to see current Monster Energy Supercross Champion, Jason Anderson rip it out and show us just what it's like to get your hands on a factory fresh modern 2-Sroke and open it up! Arguably does not look as fast as Tomac... But neither of these guys will be competing on these so let's just soak it all up and enjoy :)
