So the continued rumors are flying around about Team Puerto Rico for the upcoming 2018 Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations and it seems there has been a potential hurdle hit with the addition of Ronnie Mac. As you guys are aware, Ronnie is a fictional character and as such could not attain a licence to race under that name. It has not been an issue in non FIM events as the rules and regulations have been supple enough to allow this but MXoN is a serious event and part of the world wide race calendar.
Luckily for Team Puerto Rico ex racer and fan favorite Kevin Windam or Kdub as most people know him has stepped up to complete the team. Again nothing has been said officially but it's a very strong rumor and has been linked to people who certainly would not hype something that was false.
Kdub will pilot a 450 4-Stroke which is at odds with his team mates but i don't seem that being an issue at all. Travis Pastrana and Ryan Sipes will still be flying the flag for the 2-Bangers and fans worldwide will be looking forward to this one! Windham has not raced professionally since 2013 until he hung up his Supercross boots after nineteen years at the top! Bring it on MXoN!
