Petrucci Prediction of 2018 MotoGP Champion Candidate

BOLOGNA - 2018 MotoGP competition map is predicted to be fierce. A number of riders and teams will compete for the world title with 19 races throughout this season.

MotoGP event that usually use the 18-series format, increased one series to 19. Buriram circuit, Thailand became an additional race as well as the 15th series in 2018 MotoGP.

Octo Pramac Ducati Team rider Danilo Petrucci also gave his prediction about the 2018 MotoGP champion candidate. He named two Yamaha Movistar Movement riders Valentino Rossi and Maverick Vinales to be one of the strongest candidates to win the world championship title this season.

Even so, Petrucci still favored the Repsol Honda rider, Marc Marquez to become the toughest competitor in MotoGP 2018. It became natural because The Baby Alien-nickname Marquez-status as the defending champion two consecutive seasons in 2016 and 2017.

"For me, Yamaha will be there (podium world champion 2018). At the beginning of last season, Maverick Vinales was unbeatable and after that we did not know what happened. I think, Rossi and Vinales are a strong couple, although Marc Marquez has something more, "said Petrucci, as quoted by Tuttomotoriweb, Friday (12/1/2018).

"Marc Marquez was never afraid to take risks, last year he was strong and impressive. I see him as a favorite, "he continued.

Marquez came out as MotoGP world champion in 2017 (298 points) after winning 37 points from Andrea Dovizioso (Ducati Corse) who finished second in the final standings. The third sequence is occupied Maverick Vinales and ranked fourth occupied by Dani Pedrosa (Repsol Honda). Meanwhile, Rossi perched in fifth position followed by Johann Zarco (Yamaha Tech 3), Jorge Lorenzo (Ducati Corse), and Petrucci in eighth position.
