I love Mounds State Park it is in my back yard. A beautiful protected park with Indian Mounds "though FYI the natives that lived in this area stated the Mounds were there before they arrived in the area" So no one really know who created them. DSC_0103.JPG

There are many legends surrounding the park. The Pukwudgie legend is among them. A Pukwudgie is a 2-to-3-foot-tall being from the Wampanoag folklore. Pukwudgies' features resemble those of a human, but with enlarged noses, fingers and ears. Their skin is described as being a smooth grey or a shade of light blue, and at times has been known to glow. (there are drawings on google if you want to see what these creatures supposedly looks like, I am not including it here because they are not my drawings) Fairies are another creature that is suppose to live at the Mounds. One of the best part about Mounds is the hiking trails and the scenery.
