According to wikipedia Mount Everest is the highest place on the Earth and is 8000 meters high. There is very little oxygen at higher points so it becomes very dangerous for climbers to reach those places, however some very brave and strong people have climbed to incredible heights there. They have also unfortunately died on the journey and because it is so difficult to traverse the bodies are just left on the mountain, almost like markers for the danger level of areas. There are locals who have made a career out of taking people up and down and while they make a reasonable living, it seems like a very dangerous job that requires a brave soul.
