I'm going to throw a lot of praise at Blue Bayou; so, I'm gonna get my two nagging problems out of the way immediately. One, there was a story element that was way too convenient. Two, the first AC wasn't checking the gate enough.
With that out of the way, yeah, it's really good. I was bawling my eyes out at the end of the film and, yeah, I'm not a lawyer so I can't fact check the immigration laws in the movie; but, it seems way too plausible.
I also referred to this as a film because it was shot on film. Specifically, it was shot on 16mm film. No, this wouldn't have been the same movie if it were shot digitally. This needed to be shot on film and it was and it looked gorgeous.
I guess I could go on; but, it's almost 1am. I'm just going to say that I recommend it.
