No need to go outside
In the not too distant future most people don't need to go outside to experience anything, they are living their lives remotely from the safety of their own homes. They get to experience life via virtual reality and through their physically perfect mechanical representations of themselves.
One of it's main attraction is the safety, no risk to you. If your surrogate is injured or killed, your still safe. It is supposed to be an ideal world, without crime, pain, fear, etc. But how real is it when these things don't come into play?
Nothing of course is perfect, so when a murder occurs, the first murder to occur in years. FBI agent Greer is forced to investigate the old fashioned way without using his surrogate. No surprise that he discovers a vast conspiracy behind the surrogate phenomenon.
This film has a lot of potential, the idea is good, unfortunately it's execution is typical Hollywood formula with all the cliches you would expect. Nothing out of the ordinary, a somewhat average action/sci-fi movie.
