Hi. Good day Steemians! It's me again @joelisking!

Today, I am going to share to you one of my reflective essays that I made in school. (Good thing I have a soft copy of this one.😂)

This essay is all about my reaction and reflection and also insights about the movie we watched entitled IRON JAWED ANGELS.

The movie Iron Jawed Angels is movie that talks about women's right to vote. Alice Paul, along with her friend, Lucy Burns and all the other women strongly believed that women should have a right to vote. These activists showed their strong support by marching during President Wilson's inauguration and protesting in front of the White House during a war, which many men were angry about. The protests in front of the White House led to activists being arrested and charged them with “obstruction of traffic.”
When they are inside the prison, Alice Paul led a hunger strike.

When the authorities knew about it, Alice Paul was forcely fed by them with raw eggs and milk. This harsh incident went out and was publicized by the news papers which gives pressure to the president. This leads to the ratification of 19th Amendment, giving women the right to vote.

In the present time, we no longer see people who are being rude to all other people specially to women. Today, women have their liberty. They have all the rights to take a position in the government, which is a far different from the scenarios in the movie.

They no longer suffer and fight everyday just to have the right they cried for.

I must admit that I was moved by this movie. It made me realize that women play an important rile in the society. It is not always men who will always rule. Women have thoughts also. We can use our ideas to create a peaceful world.

I love the way how the artists play their roles. It is like, it's true, like I am watching the exact and real scenario.

I am persuading you to watch this movie. This isn't just a good movie, but it will make your heart and mind open.

They are the artists who played as the main characters of the story.
