Back in November I was found by a Scotsman columnist who had seen the similitudes between my Tim Hunter character and Harry Potter, and needed a story. What's more, I think I rather disillusioned him by clarifying that, no, I absolutely didn't trust that Rowling had ripped off Books of Magic, that I questioned she'd perused it and that it wouldn't make any difference on the off chance that she had: I wasn't the primary author to make a youthful mystical performer with potential, nor was Rowling the first to send one to class. It's not the thoughts, it's your main event with them that issues.
Kind fiction, as Terry Pratchett has called attention to, is a stew. You remove stuff from the pot, you set stuff back. The stew rises on.
