The last one (episode 8 - The Force Awakens) was really frickin' good in my opinion. I even liked emo Kylo Ren which a bunch of people trashed.
Anyway the cool thing about this new one is that it's not a sequel and not really a prequel either (like Episode 1 to 3 were). It takes place just before the opening scene in episode 4 - A New Hope, when Princess Leia is caught by Darth Vader with the plans to the death star. #nerdalert
So ok ok, it takes place before the first film so technically it IS a prequel... but it's not a "decades before" type of prequel.
This means the bad guys can be..
*drum roll although everyone already worked it through*
Darth Vader and Darth Sidious
Not Anakin Skywalker - kid or teen - but legit ass Darth Vader.
Now I have no idea if they will be in the movie and I don't want to read about it or even watch the trailers and footage I just posted since I hate spoilers haha!
Also, I'm hoping the expand more on Alderaan and get us attached to it so that we get to at least feel a real sense of horror when they blow it up in A New Hope.
Check it out!
I saw this on my blogs this morning. Cool footage.

Rogue One is definitely a war drama. I have to admit I was a little skeptical that a war film set in the SW universe could work, but I am relieved based on what I saw in the Celebration Reel and who they have working on it. Greig Fraser (Zero Dark Thirty) is the director of photography and Neil Corbould (Black Hawk Down) is special effects supervisor. These guys will bring it. I can hardly wait for December!
Thank you for sharing.
