Conan is such a good fucking film. The sets, the score, the action all just come together for pretty much the definitive sword and sorcery film. I'll admit I don't know much about Conan outside of the two films so I cannot say how well it holds up to the source material but the film holds up incredibly well on its own merits.

I still get chills every time I watch the prayer to Crom because it just fits into the tone of the scene so well argh I fucking love this film.

If you have any interest in action or adventure films, watch it. It's pretty much required reading for the genres. It's like being a fan of sci-fi and not having seen the original trilogy in my opinion.

Feel free to skip Conan The Destroyer however, decent watch but nowhere near as great
