Hollywood blockbusters have a long history of being the movies that we are more or less forced to see. Whether it’s showtimes at movie theaters or the wishes of the friends and family with whom we watch films, blockbusters are a staple in the modern entertainment world. But indie films are a great alternative and can open our eyes to all sorts of different views and see cinematography for the true art that it is.

There are lots of lists of indie films out there. Some of the most popular are ones that have involved Hollywood stars. List Challenges has compiled 50 indie movies to see before you die. These range from classics like 1968’s Light of the Living Dead to ones a bit more recent like 2003’s Lost in Translation.

The fact is that there are countless indie films that are worth watching. Many of them will probably not be included on all the lists, but that doesn’t mean that they are any less amazing.
Digital platforms are setting the way for more independent films to reach audiences. If 20 years ago people had to really seek out a cinema hall that was showing an independent film, today we can find these movies online and watch them from our own homes. Digital platforms bring into question how films will now be financed and distributed.

As more people watch movies on digital platforms, it is clear that they, too, will soon be flooded with the usual type of project that has huge funding and is designed for the masses. What true indie fans need is a platform that is aimed at what they want to see. And what indie filmmakers need is an outlet that appreciates their contributions. This is what MoviesChain by TVzavr provides. To find out more about his blockchain-based platform, go to www.movieschain.io.
