Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues, Will Farrell equal to himselfsteemCreated with Sketch.

I was surprised to (re)watch the first Anchorman and liking it. I did the same for the sequel. Not as good as the first one, but still worth a watch

Ray and Veronica are doing the news together. One day, she gets the 6 o'clock news hosting gig while Ray gets fired. He gets jealous, divorces Veronica and falls into despair... until a producer gives him an offer: be a host for a revolutionary 24-hour news channel.

Overall, the movie is what you would expect from a Will Ferrell movie. It's completely absurd (RE: the van wreck with scorpions and bowling balls) and situations turn on a dime. If that's your thing, you will be satisfied.

However, it does offer an interesting critic on continuous news and our thirst for any kind of news and sensationalism, however menial (or even true) it is. Like that live coverage on an elderly driving a white Bronco - Ray just speculated on who the driver was and their motives. It also touched (too lightly) on harassment, and reversed the "traditional" idea of what we have of it.

In short, Anchorman 2 is a good movie if you like Will Ferrell. For the others, you might still enjoy it if you enjoyed the first one.
