Few things feel more like Halloween than Friday the 13th. The eponymous movie, that got out in 1980, started a long-lasting franchise... that's not that interesting.
Back in 1958, 2 horny monitor at Camp Crystal Lake got murdered. Fast forward a few years, some people want to re-open it. But someone doesn't...
That movie had some potential. It could have been a suspense movie à la *I know what you did last summer." Instead, it's just a mindless slasher without much else to say. There isn't even an elaborate backstory to the original murders, other than a brief mention of deaths at "Camp Blood."
Mind you, if you never heard anything about the movie, you might be in for a surprise, hence my wish it had been like the aforementioned movie.
In short, if you like slasher movies, you'll probably like it. Otherwise, you won't miss much...
Final rating: 2/5 (the surprise vilain made it somewhat interesting)
