Yesterday, June 28th marked the 13th year on the passing of Noriyuki 'Pat' Morita, best known for the character, Mr. Miyagi he played throughout the series of THE KARATE KID films.

Only a true master would walk into the enemy's stronghold (Cobra Kai dojo) to try and settle the score without fighting.
What Mr. Miyagi did for Daniel was huge as a friend, protector and father figure--in that very scene, he became everyone's father figure and so, til this day, his image, his voice and his words still evoke deep uplifting emotions.
