Kevin Feige to Direct a Star Wars Movie

While Marvel is full of nothing but win, Star Wars is just picking up losses. Fans are so angry with the direction that the franchise is taking that they managed to make Disney hear their voice. Mostly by not paying for anything related to Star Wars. I am not including The Last Jedi in the losing corner because that movie made a billion dollars, I don't care how much fans didn't like it they paid to see it.

The first real big loss is Solo: a Star Wars Story, forget a billion dollars, this movie couldn't even make half a billions dollars. It is a total failure at the box office. Then there is the theme park. While Disney was sure that Star Wars fans will flock to their Galaxy's Edge ride, it has turned out to be a failure. So much so that executive managers at the theme park are being fired and ticket prices going down.

Sure Star Wars fans seem really happy with Mandalorian and Obi-Wan Kenobi TV shows for Disney+, but these are headed by Dave Filoni who is loved by the fans and is a fan himself.

This is unlike Kathleen Kennedy who seems to have been given a responsibility over a franchise that she doesn’t like. She also doesn't appear to like the fans. Her horrid quote about "I have a responsibility to the company that I work with. I don’t feel that I have a responsibility to cater in some way. I would never just seize on saying, 'Well, this is a franchise that’s appealed primarily to men for many, many years, and therefore I owe men something." Should be taught in media schools about how not to treat your fans. Especially in a franchise that has plenty of female fans to begin with, you can just change the sentence and say that it is a misconception and not look like you hate half your franchises' fandom. Everyone just wanted our lovable Leia back and a lot of people were unhappy with Mary Sue Rey. A problem that could easily have been avoided with a better script as Daisy Ridley is a great actress.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker trailer barely trended online as fans interest plummets. The fact that the hated producers of Game of Thrones David Benioff and D.B. Weiss who destroyed a great television masterpiece because they were tired of it, were hired to direct a Star Wars movie is not an engorging sign. It is a "what the hell are you thinking" sort of a decision. Including the fact that the director (Rian Johnson) of Star Wars: The Last Jedi, a movie that divided fans, has been given an entire trilogy to develop in the same franchise. Another very strange decision.

Well, fans were angry and their voices has been heard. The wonder maker and producer Kevin Feige has been rumored to have been hired to produce a Star Wars movie. That is the movie that suddenly everyone wants to see. More than then they want to see episode 9 so I guess this is why Disney tried to keep it quiet, but failed. We know that what makes Feige make great movies for Marvel is his love for the source material and Feige loves Star Wars as well. Will that be enough to make his produce great Star Wars movies? I think so. I think that all of the internet thinks so as it seems that everyone are happy with this decision. Also, I really hope that Feige won't collapse from exhaustion as he will be making 3 Marvel movies a year, all of the Disney+ TV shows and now Star Wars. We don't know if he will be making one movie or if he is taking over the franchise. Either way is Feige we trust and I hope he can pull this off.

Suddenly, there is a new hope for Star Wars movie and mending between fans and franchise.
