If you had high expectations, this trailer will not fulfil them. Don't get me wrong, it looks like it is going to be a fun movie, but not a memorable one like Terminator 2. The third and Forth entries in the franchise were fun movies, this will just be another one of those. It's really hard to be worse than the fifth one.
This movie had all the right ingratiates to be a great movie. James Cameron finally returning to the franchise (although as a producer and not a director, it is starting to appear that he isn't a really good producer at all). Tim Miller as a director. Linda Hamilton reprising the role of Sarah Conner. Arnold Schwarzenegger is back yet again. I really like the design on the robots, and I love Gabriel Luna after his great performance in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. But this trailer doesn't have an epic vibe to it. I mean I am not sure it even has a must see in theaters vibe to it. Also, it's not really a Terminator movie without John Connor in it for me. I don't care how great Hamilton is. If you want someone to save the world, it has to be him. Cameron said that this is a direct continuation of T2, so where is John? It makes no sense to me.
Also, if this is James Cameron's answer to Wonder Woman and superhero movies, he better think again.
I both am looking forward to this movie, and looking forward to stream it someday in the future.
