왜 금자는 유괴를 도운 죄의 용서를 신에게 구하지 않고 어린이의 부모에게 구했을까요?
백선생(최민식 분)은 금자(이영애 분)에게 죄를 뒤집어 씌운것도 모자라 자신에게 복수하지 못하게 전도사를 붙여 왜곡된 참회까지 강요합니다.
종교가 권력자의 도구로 전락한 세상에선 인간은 구원은 어떻게 받을수 있을까요? 아마도 그런 종교의 구원을 거부해야 할 것입니다.
백선생의 속내, 꼬리가 잘리더라도 살기만 하면 된다는 자신과 혈육의 생존이 일순위라는 것을 잘 알고있는 금자는 백선생이 그랬듯 종교는 모범수 출소를 위한 도구로만 이용합니다.
금자는 신에게 용서를 구하기 전에 할일이 있습니다.
이우진이 오대수를 잡아 그의 혀를 죗값으로 가져가고 그의 본심까지 까발렸듯이 금자도 백선생을 그렇게 만들어야 합니다. 그러나 백선생은 약점이 없는자로 죄의식이 전혀 없는 괴물이었습니다. 금자는 피해자 어린이의 부모들을 소환해 의견을 묻습니다. 한국인은 누구보다 그런놈들을 잘 알기때문에(?) 백선생의 피를 나눠 가져갑니다. 금자는 죄의 케이크를 차려주지만 먹지 않습니다.
금자는 그러나 교도소에서 종교에 대해 배웠기 때문에 복수가 구원을 막는 것을 잘 알고 있습니다. 하지만 금자와 백선생이 한몸이라면 백선생은 죽어야 합니다. 금자가 백선생을 죽인것은 구원까진 바라지못해도 속죄는 해야하기 때문이었습니다.
원모는 금자가 용서를 구하려고 하자 입을 막아버립니다.

Baek(Min-sik Choi) overturns sin against Geum-ja (Lee Young-ae). He hires a depraved pastor to force her to distorted repentance so that she can not retaliate against herself.
How can human beings get salvation in a world where religion has become a tool of power? Perhaps we should refuse to save that religion.
Guem-ja knows the brutality of Baek, who knows that he and his family are a top priority. Geum-ja uses religion only as a tool for the eviction of a good friend, just as Baek did.
Geum-ja has a task to do before asking God for forgiveness.
Just as Lee Woo-jin grabbed Oh Dae-soo, took his tongue for the price, and provoked his real heart, Guem-ja must make Baek so. However, Baek was a freak without any guilt. He will summon the parents of kidnapped children and ask for their opinions. Koreans know Beak better than anyone else, so they share Baek blood. The victims' family members give mary a cake of sin, but she does not eat.
But Geum-ja knows that because she learned about religion in prison, revenge prevents salvation. But if Geum-ja and Beak are one body of sin, Back must die. Geum-ja killed Baek because she had to make atonement even if she could not hope for salvation.
Won-mo stops her mouth when Geum-ja asks for forgiveness.
