Nappily Ever After - A Call To Action

in moviesandtvshows •  3 years ago

Happy Friday dear family.

Today I'd like to start my daily posts by sharing an important message that the movie "Nappily Ever After" is sending to females.

Nappily Ever After

• Directed by Haifaa al-Mansour • Story by Adam Brooks and Cee Marsellus • Based on Nappily Ever After by Trisha R. Thomas

It is a romantic comedy film of 98 min length In which the protagonist has been conditioned to be something she is not since she was a child to reach happiness this way. The movie only seems to be about whether or not to wear curly hair, but the real core is that what we are is right and perfect. It's not the same having the conviction of how we want to look to have to do so to fit some standards of "beauty".

Why is this movie a call to action?

Because it's showing us from the beginning to the end that no matter what, we must love ourselves. It invites us to accept ourselves as we are and above all, it emphasizes the importance of educating children to be respectful and feel happy with themselves.

It was not the funniest movie I've seen so far but I liked the message it was trying to send. The film is available on Netflix, let me know if you have watched it.

Thanks for reading.

Best regards.
