Welcome to the last day of my moviewaybackchallenge:
This movie gave me great nightmares for years.
The first time I watched I was about 14 years old. Whenever i watched it in our living room my mother went one or two times through the room. And every time she hit a brutal scene (and wasn't pleased).
I'm just fascinated:
- by the Alien design (created by the swiss artist H.R. Giger (R.I.P.)). It is so insane, malice, inhumane.
- The movements are somehow insectoid.
- Acid as blood (great idea)
- the alien metamorphosis (a facehugger (a tailed spiderlike being) is hatching out of an organic slimy egg, immediately attacking the next human by sitting on his face and making him suffocate with its tail and then planting an embryo (the chestbuster) into the humans chest. And of course nomen est omen. After about a day the embryo is coming out of the human body by bursting his chest. Then the it grows very fast to the big alien.)
- ALIEN QUEEN (GREAT GREAT GREAT)
