Moving to Florida? - QE - 1050

in moving •  last year

I like to live in Florida. However, even though real estate is generally more affordable than in other states, the cost of living here is higher than elsewhere in the United States. Florida falls at 102.8 on the cost-of-living index, making it a bit higher than the U.S. average. Be prepared to pay a little more for goods and services, as the statewide sales tax is 6 percent, as well as property tax for your home or business. The property tax load in Florida ranks 24 of 50 states.

Moving to Florida can be quite the adventure! I actually made the move a couple of years ago and despite the heat, I've loved the vibrant communities and endless beaches. One tip I’d share is to really think through the logistics of moving. It can get overwhelming fast, especially during peak moving seasons.

I used Orlando Express Movers FL when I relocated, and they were fantastic. Kept things stress-free and super professional. You can check them out at Orlando Express Movers FL. A funny little story – on moving day, it started to pour rain (classic Florida weather!), but the team managed to protect all my stuff and we ended up laughing over shared umbrella hats. Good times and a smooth transition!
