မူဆယ္၊ ရွမ္းျပည္နယ္

ျပည့္ျပည့္က အသက္ ရွစ္ႏွစ္ရွိၿပီ။ မူဆယ္ေဆးခန္းမွာ MSF က ကူညီေပးေနတဲ့ အသက္အငယ္ဆံုး အိတ္ခ်္အုိင္ဗီလူနာေတြထဲက တစ္ေယာက္ပါ။ သူက အသက္ ၆၈ ႏွစ္ အဘြားနဲ႔အတူေနတယ္။ သူ႔အဘြားက တျခား မိဘမဲ့ ကေလးငါးေယာက္ကိုလည္း ေစာင့္ေရွာက္ရတယ္။ ဒီေတာ့ သူက ကေလးေလးတစ္ေယာက္ဆိုေပမယ့္ ကိုယ့္က်န္းမာေရးကိုကိုယ္ ေစာင့္ေရွာက္ဖို႔ တာဝန္ယူရတယ္။
“သားမိဘႏွစ္ပါးလံုး ဆံုးသြားၿပီ။ အေမ အိတ္ခ်္အုိင္ဗီေရာဂါနဲ႔ဆံုးသြားတာ သိပ္မၾကာေသးဘူး။ အေမ့ကို သတိရတယ္။ အခု သားအဖြားနဲ႔ အတူေနတယ္။ ေဒၚတင္ၿငိမ္းေပါ့။ ညီအစ္ကိုေတြ၊ အစ္မေတြ၊ ဝမ္းကြဲေတြနဲ႔ အတူေနတယ္။ သားက ေက်ာင္းမတက္ဘူး။ သားတို႔က ပလတ္စတစ္ဗူးေတြ လိုက္ေကာက္ၿပီး ျပန္ေရာင္းတယ္၊ ပိုက္ဆံရတယ္ေလ။ သားမွာလည္း အဲဒီေရာဂါရွိေနၿပီ။သား မေသခ်င္ရင္ ေဆးေသာက္ရမွာေပါ့။ ေဆးေတြကို ဆရာဝန္ႀကီးဆီက သားရတယ္။ ေန႔တိုင္း မနက္ရွစ္နာရီထိုးရင္ ေဆးေသာက္ဖို႔က အေရးႀကီးတယ္။ ဒါေပမယ့္ သားမွာ အခု လက္ပတ္နာရီ ရွိေနၿပီဆိုေတာ့ အဆင္ေျပတယ္။ ေဆးေသာက္တာ တစ္ခါမွ ေမ့သြားတာ မရွိပါဘူး။ တစ္ေန႔ေတာ့ ေက်ာင္းတက္ရမယ္လို႔ ေမွ်ာ္လင့္ပါတယ္။ ဒါေပမယ့္ သားက လက္ေရြးစင္ေဘာလံုးသမားတစ္ေယာက္ ျဖစ္ခ်င္တာ”

Pyae Pyae is eight years old and one of the youngest HIV patients at Muse clinic. When you live with your 68-year-old grandmother, who has five other grandchildren to take care
of, all of them orphans, you have to take a lot of responsibility for your own health, even if you are only a child.
“Both my parents are dead,” says Pyae Pyae. “My mother died from the HIV disease just a while ago. I miss her. Now I live with my grandma, Tin Nyein, and my sisters and brothers and my cousins. I don’t go to school as we collect plastic bottles and then we sell them to get some money. I also have the disease and if I don’t want to die, I need to take my medicine that I get from the doctor. It is important that I take them every day at 8 o’clock but that is okay because I now have my own watch. I never miss my pills. One day I hope I will go to school, and then I want to become a professional football player.”
