Not enough is the initiative of 'Whtsap'

In the 2016 presidential election, 40 percent of Americans read Russian-inspired divisive and racist news and spread it on different social media, but in India it's dreadful form emerges.
Since April this year, at least 18 people have been killed in the country because of hoaxes spread over whitespots. Police say that in all these cases the rumors spread through whatsap.

It has also been revealed during the investigation that often people forward false messages and fake videos and photos to large groups, some of which have more than 100 members.

In such cases of massacre killings, the violent mobility accelerates to attack unknown people and explaining the police to the great crowd is not enough time to save innocent people from their clutches.

In a recent incident, on July 13, a software engineer, 32-year-old Mohammad Azam, was caught by the same mob, who was going to meet relatives in his native village, Hanki Kera, in a Karnataka village with his two friends. After throwing chocolate from a moving car for school children returning from school on the way, they stopped at the shore of a lake in the area to make a move.

Meanwhile, a crowd of villagers reached there and surrounded them and attacked them by calling them children who were stolen. Somehow the person got out of his car after saving his life, someone in the village informed his friends in the next village that the child was coming to them in a red car with the theft.

The villagers stopped the road and came to a halt to obstruct the obstacles placed there to stop their car, and the violent mob armed with various weapons attacked them.

Some policemen who reached the spot somehow saved two of them but they could not save Mohammad Azam. Moreover, the policemen who reached there could not escape the wrath of violent mob and broke the bones of a constable's feet.
Only after reaching the heavy police force in five trains scattered a crowd of about 1000 people. However, in most cases the police does not reach the spot.

Whatsap has made a significant change this month since its initiative.
In other parts of the world where no message can be forwarded to more than 20 people simultaneously, only in India it can be forwarded to only 5 people.
Whitsap has removed the 'Quik Forward' button from audio, video and photos, as well as a forwarded message that it is not original, forwarded message.

Although the purpose of these steps of Whatsap is to prevent people from sharing information, rather to give an opportunity to think what they are sharing. They can do this because WHITS services are not dependent on AIDS for earning, but it will be difficult to stop the facilities like Facebook and Twitter, which make money with AIDS.

It is worth noting that almost half the world is using the Internet today. The next crore of people going online will be related to the lower classes and there will also be a shortage of awareness, which will be much more likely to be implicated in rumors and misinformation.

Due to the appetite for wireless things on the Internet, various rumors are being encouraged, which needs to be restrained.

Evidently, these steps taken by the Whatsap between rumors that rumors are not enough are inadequate. The government will also have to take tough steps to deal with this serious problem. It is being said that an awareness campaign will be launched in the rural areas but this has to be done on a large scale so that more and more people can be rumored to be rumored.
