The Weekly Wave or The Waves Weekly? : Plus, Cover Art Brainstorming

in mspwavesradio •  6 years ago

FYI

I wont be putting out my first review until next friday. That way, I have a full week of shows to share with youz! So, while we wait, I've been creating some cover art to share with you guys. This cover art is just in the brainstorming phase so bear with me. They're pretty simple with just the title of the weekly review but I will be adding what week the post covers somewhere on the cover art. [i.e. : The Weekly Wave, Volume 1, 01/25/2019 - 01/31/2019 < something like that, I'll figure it out.>]

A question for my future readers, Should I switch up the cover art every week, or keep it the same every time? thoughts please!

Here's the cover art I've made so far:

#1 The Headphones

This one isn't my favorite but I threw it together anyways. Font size and shape can be adjusted.

#2 The Weekly Rotation

This will be my pick this week if it's decided that I should change the cover art every week. Image grabbed from @lpfaust in the audience chat of his recent show tonight called Voices From the Mountains. XD

#3 The Asian Persuasion

For this one I only have one thing to say... I'm turning Japanese I think I'm turning Japanese I really think so. Nuff said.

#4 JAWsome

This one reminds me of JAWS the movie. Also, What sounds better: The WavesWeekly, or The Weekly Wave. Either ore, I'm swimmin' for the shore.

#5 The Wormhole Weekly

This one looks like a wormhole into another time and space. The end.

Okay my fellow MSPWaves Surfers, which one will it be? Should I change it weekly? and (last question) which sounds better: The Waves Weekly or The Weekly Wave? Think about it and get back to me! Don't let the waves hit ya on the way out. Peace!

Actually, I thought the picture at the top of the post was the best one. :-)
I think that because it's going to be about MSP Waves, I'd be inclined to go with "The Waves Weekly".
Perhaps something like this...

The Waves Weekly
with
Space Stace

If you wanted to do a video review you could say that at the beginning of the video, except do it like this...

The Waves Weekly, with your hostess, Space Stace!
or... The Waves Weekly! Presented by Space Stace!
I can think of 5 more ways you could introduce it in a video format...LOL

You know what, I was thinking the same thing about the picture at the top of the post! I just scrambled to make it at the very end of completing this post. I think I'll use it! Maybe I can do video reviews! I have a computer now which means, uh oh, no excuse! lol I'm really digging The Waves Weekly. The Weekly Wave sounds more like a newpaper or something huh. Thanks for your input, I really appreciate the help and I'm pretty excited to get this thang started! =) commence happy dance

Maybe something like this =)

I like that! :-)

@staceyjean I think it goes without saying #2 would be my choice.

I have to say that dude who keeps Photoshopping himself into Kendall Jenner's images, has a ridiculously awesome library of stuff. I'm thinking you should see if he could work some Photoshop magic for your Weekly Wave.

I'd vote for rotating the cover art. Keep it fresh and give 'em a reason to come back.

I really like number 3, and I think Waves plural matches the image of ocean waves, while wave makes me think more of 👋🏼 it might also be cool to combine a space/ocean image- perhaps and ocean background, with headphones filled with galaxy image?
