Jakarta - Police arrested Wahyu Jayadi, lecturer at Makassar State University (UNM), in connection with the murder of a veiled woman named Sulaiha Djafar. Wahyu has been named a suspect in this case.
"Already (determined to be a suspect), indeed he who killed," said Head of Public Relations of South Sulawesi Regional Police Commissioner Dicky Sondani when contacted by AFP on Saturday (03/23/2019).
As a result of his actions, Wahyu snared Article 338 of the Criminal Code concerning murder. The police are still investigating this murder case.
Jenazah Sulaiha ditemukan warga Dusun Japing, Desa Sunggumanai, Kecamatan Pattallassang, Kabupaten Gowa, dalam sebuah mobil berwarna biru, Jumat (22/3), sekitar pukul 08.00 Wita. Saat ditemukan, leher mayat tersebut tersangkut sabuk pengaman. Sulaiha diketahui sebagai istri pejabat Dinas Kehutanan Pemkab Barru dan memiliki 3 anak.
Wahyu was arrested by the police and claimed to have killed Sulaiha. Wahyu strangled Sulaiha to death after quarreling with work problems.
The perpetrators were recorded as UNM lecturers. "What we secure is WJ or Wahyu Jayadi. He is a lecturer at UNM," said Gowa Police Public Relations Chief AKP Tambunan when asked for confirmation by AFP on Saturday (3/23).
