Erret Labau Cord saved the Duesenberg Company by backing the Duesenberg brothers for a long time.
Cord wanted to give the most modern, most futuristic and most extravagant car its name. It has electromagnetic operated gear-change and a V8 engine with supercharger. The original color is described as "cigarette lemon". This car had a great influence on design development in general and therefore you will find it again in every textbook for designers.

I really wish we get back to the old times when those beautiful cars are still exist. Much better shape than today, it is a proof that technology does not create human to have a better taste though.
