Music Challenge Day 7: Gerry Rafferty - “Baker Street”

This song brings back memories! I remember listening to it on the radio when I was a child and it was already an oldie. Lisa Simpson played it on an episode of ‘The Simpsons’. And more recently Rick Sanchez sang the instrumental part at the end of an episode of ‘Rick and Morty’. Both lyrically and musically, this song feels like you’re headed away from things, on a journey that you might not necessarily return from. So that makes it a song to drive to in my opinion.

Here it is:

It is, but yours has lyrics too :D

I've heard the song many times. Never knew what it was called or who it was by. Now I know. Are you saying you posted an instrumental version?

No, I just meant your video contains lyrics scrolling down the screen lol.

Oh I see. I didn't watch the video. :)

No problem, enjoy 😁!

Thanks, how so?

@elementm Terrific write-up. Certainly This is often truth in each individual state..

I'm not quite sure I understand. I suppose you might enjoy this post enough to consider it 'terrific' but it's unclear to me how you came to any conclusions about truth or individuality. Were they based on the fact that I, as an individual, expressed my 'truth' in relation to a song I enjoy? Did my post make you remember something which is clear in your mind but unclear in mine?
