A few snaps, melodic vocals, and a snare drum is all the artist David Townsend needs to create a vibe. Guided by his smooth vocal tone and melodic flow of which he uses to navigate the beat. Also guiding is his senses and experiences that account for tempo changes and musical bridges. In the track "One Night" David Townsend alludes to being the "bad guy" that is at fault for turning a good girl bad. He jumps in and out of the track similar to merging in and out of traffic. Something that takes a lot of skill of which David Townsend's vocal performance proves that he's an experienced driver. And to his woman's satisfaction, she is in good hands. Of which he knows and says "That still can't nobody else do it better". What's also most entertaining about the track is that it's ever-changing. It starts with a quick up-tempo feel but then at the end slows down to more of a cruising speed. A more slowed down vibe where David Townsend concentrates more on an ad-libbed freestyle that expresses his feelings more than any structure or rhythmic pattern could. This is the meaning of "One Night".
