I'm a lazy mofo when it comes to my writing. The Dorian and then into the altered dominant with the flat 9 ending with some modal interchange on the major 9th of the tonic. That's what those repetitive riffs are. For study....Now that you mention it a Dorian flat 9 could be thought of as a bebop scale ABflatBCDEF#.....
