Hello !!

Today, I present to you a collaboration realized about 2 months ago with friends of soundcloud ..
I wanted for a long time to make a version of this great jazz standard: After You've Gone (by Turner Layton and Henry Creamer)
I asked leacam to put his voice on my guitar ... then another friend - Julien Apelian - came to play the piano, the drums, the bass and the subaphone ...
Finally, it's my great friend DDJohn who made us the pleasure to come sharing the wonderful sounds of his clarinet ...
I played rhythm and lead guitar...

A big big big thanks to them !!! The links to their respective accounts are in the song description on SC

Small precisions : this collaboration was done remotely (we never play live together) ... Mix and mastering by Julien Apelian (it's a boss !)

The result is here (and the pictures of migratory birds are from me ^^!) :

Hope you enjoy !! :)

Who's that female vocalist?? I LOVE HER VOICE!!!

What a fantastic recording!!! Love the guitar as always!

And you sound like my son @mvkean, who records music with a guy in Seattle while Miles is in Chicago or New York. Remote recording. Technology can be a great thing!

Sorry for the super late response ...
To answer your question, the singer is a friend met on music forums on the internet ... you can find what she is doing on her soundcloud here:

And yes it's magic to play music with people from a distance ...
it does not provide the pleasure of live playing but it's nice experiences (or not ... ^^) and it also allows to meet beautiful people (or not ... :))))

Thank you for coming here!
And again sorry, I really have little time for myself these days!

It's a very nice, even sounding track. Well done on the mixing and mastering!

A big thanks @montycashmusic !! Glad you liked this tune !

Two weeks without a new post from you - what have you been up to?
@mvkean has a jazz bassist friend (who "owns" Kansas City, as a bassist), and whose wife inspired him to compose the song and music video. Just an FYI here. It's a short and funny video. (And maybe a little sad.)
What does she want? Meaningful Emails.

Huh... Two weeks without a post... the reason is work work work... and driving driving driving...
and the little time I had at my disposal, I transformed it into a cover of Tuba Skinny (I'm crazy about them) ... Cover of an old rag from 1908: Dusty Rag
He's here if you wanna check it out : https://steempeak.com/creativecoin/@bakingjazzpower/dusty-rag-tuba-skinny-guitar-cover

Excellent this "Emails that matter" ! ^^

Congratulations on your Curie!!!
I love all your covers, and your original compositions.
May your work load lighten so you can pursue your music!
Happy New Year and happy days, always!
