Have you ever heard a song and instantly loved it. Happens to me a lot so I thought I would share those songs with you all. I used to be subscribed to Classic Rock magazine, a UK publication. The magazine would include a sampler disc in with each issue. I liked that because you would be able to hear music that maybe you wouldn't hear anywhere else. Open the doors to new music.
Self Made Man by Howlin' Rain was one such song I heard on a disc about 4-5 years ago. Off the ablum Russian Wilds from 2012. Howlin' Rain is an American band from the San Francisco area. Ethan Miller is the leader of the band and he plays guitar and sings lead vocals. Other members include Jeff Mcelroy - bass, Dan Cervantes - guitar, and Brian "Nucci" Cantrell - drums. I ended up buying this Russian Wilds album but have not pursued any other albums from this band which exhibits a pretty wide selection of music.
