On Tuesday we announced Hellsingland Underground for Calella Rockfest 2018. The Swedes is the second addition to the festival after Nashville Pussy.
But who are Hellsingland Underground? Well, it's not easy to define them. Some pople say that they are a Southern Rock band from the North Of Europe but can we considerthem an American Southern Rock Band? Well, American of course not! Southern? Nooo! They are Northern! So let's call them just a Rock band, ok?That's what I consider them, a rock band. Of course, they have some American roots influences, some Southern too, but you can also notice those twin guitars that make remind me Thin Lizzy. Don't you?
Let's start listening to some music: "The Lost River Band"
One of the top hits of the band is this "The Lost River Band", a song that starts with pop melodies while it goes harder, and then, coming from nowhere, a twin guitar duel makes it a killer song! But it's not enough, and later on, there is a transition that goes into a jam with the twin guitars going faster and faster.
Let me shout out loud: I LOVE THIS SONG!
As I told you, they are from Sweden, cold lands but warm music! They have published four albums (the first in 2008), and they will come to Calella Rockfest with a brand new release.
They have catchy songs like this "Dizzy Jonsson & The Rovers" a great semi-ballad.
And a little bit of rock & roll
They are a great band, I recommend you this live performance at the famous WDR's "Rockpalast" show.
So, just want to say that on October 12, you'll have the chance to enjoy Hellsingland Underground live show at Calella Rockfest. We're waiting for you!!
