Self Empowerment Tip: Free open source web tools for musicians, indie labels, music bloggers and developers.

Just go to cashmusic.org. and check them out on github. They are a nonprofit. They do good things. Really!

I am not in any way affiliated with them but I did do a brainstorming session with them a while back. Jesse Von Doom and company are good peeps. You can sell your own content and merch via paypal, offer downloads for emails, streaming audio players (with tweening!), video light boxing, email lists, download codes, tour dates, vip access All kinds of cool stuff. All embeddable on your website or blog. Host your own digital assets on your google drive or S1 drive or your own web server rather than go through someone else. Unlike iTunes, which takes 30% and BandCamp which takes 15%, Cashmusic takes 0%! And because they are non-profit you never have to worry about their code becoming the property of some huge corporation. Their code will be free and open source forever.
