What's in my earholes today? Periphery

Marigold

Some of you may know, I'm a huge prog metal fan, so it was only a matter of time before I brought up Periphery. They formed in 2005 in Washington DC, and quickly solidified themselves as a progressive metal powerhouse. They have a Grammy nomination and five studio albums under their belt.

They really took off in 2010 when vocalist Spencer Sotelo joined the lineup and they signed with Sumerian records. Spencer's vocals brought a different energy and unique sound to the flawless instrumental work. I thoroughly enjoyed his clean vocals in their lastest release, Periphery III: Select Difficulty. Catchy melodies, while maintaining the heavy energy. Marigold quickly became one of my favorite songs.

I just can't get enough of their incredible musicianship, and composition. If you are into any kind of heavy music then you'll respect these guys, and they're constantly touring so keep an eye out for em! Any other metal heads out there?

Periphery is AMAZING! Nolly is a GOD at bass, too bad he doesn't tour with them anymore, but luckily he still helps write music and produce for them! Glad to see someone else on here that loves this genre of music...

Sweet! I followed you! You should do an introduction post under the introduceyourself tag. People upvote those a lot and you can get attention that way.
