Since ancient times music has been regarded as a food for the soul and body. In the earliest history, music has always been a way to divert disease and death in certain rituals and had the greatest role in rites of healing.

Some parts of the Holy books show how much power the music had: "And whenever the spirit of God struck Saul, David would take the harp and play; then Saul would have been better and the spirit would depart from him "(The Bible).

Old Greek philosophers considered music to have supernatural powers, by encourage the harmony of heaven and earth, and to represent an indescribable way of enjoyment. Even the ancient Hebrews used music in many cases of physical and mental illness. Today's researches shows that it helps harmonize the entire body and has a therapeutic role.

In children, music has tremendous impact on development, behavior, learning, work, psyche .... It greatly improves physical emotional and social abilities.

Music therapy has a therapeutic role in medicine and is also used for better concentration and productivity of workers in hospitals, factories and all work areas.

It has been scientifically proven that performing or listening to music helps reduce stress, relieve pain, express emotions, improve memory, improve communication, physical rehabilitation, relaxation and calming, better social integration and quality of life, and better and deeper self-awareness.

It is important to point out that a person does not have to have musical abilities to have benefit from music therapy.

The influence of music on emotions can be explained by the words of the philosopher. The main strength of music lies in it's similarity to spiritus, and all that is heard by air makes the strongest influence on the senses, claimed F.Bacon.

Today, in the modern world, we can use music to even manage their own mood, provoking excitement, calming, encouraging and different feelings, and creating an environment that can strongly affect how other people feel and behave. Music helps people to relax, overcome strong emotions, create the right mood for going out, stimulate concentration, in short-it can make them feel comfortable and safe.

"Music expresses what can not be said, and it is impossible to keep silent."
