Auto-Tune is Really Fun... Ever Wonder What Obama Sounds Like With Auto-Tune?

Obama Singing with Auto-tune?

Auto-tune is addictive.

I remember playing with the Auto-tune settings in my Garageband with my cousin @fastmango, (which till this day is still my favorite version of Auto-tune), since 2008. It was one of those things that wasn't really fun until you actually tried it. Who wouldn't want to be able to sing magically, and sing every note perfectly, or almost perfectly. It still takes effort and thought to hear what you are doing with Auto-Tune, but if you know how to ride the notes you can definitely create your own T-Pain masterpiece.

Some people hate it but really i love it!

Some people have argued that T-Pain cannot sing, but that is far from the truth. He has many videos where he is singing without Auto-Tune. Not only that but he is talented enough to produce, write, and create catchy melodies consistently. Also whether you hear it or not, pretty much every song on the radio uses Auto-tune effect to clean up the vocals of singers.

T-Pain has influenced music culture, forever.

Here is a more in depth video interview with T-pain, where he talks about the creator of Auto-Tune. Also his thoughts on how the culture has taken Auto-Tune and evolved it into their own styles. I respect T-pain's talent and vision as he is a creative mind responsible for making Auto-Tune cool again.

WOW, this is funny! What is a good application to create these effects?

You can buy softwares like Melodyne, Antares or Waves Auto Tune, which are industry standards. Or if you are on a budget there is always the built-in Auto Tune features in Logic Pro & Garageband.

Super, will look into those. Thanks.

Some people argue against autotune very passionately but it's great if you're being artistic, like Kanye or Bon Iver. If I'm cleaning up vocals, it's great to use a program like Melodyne, it's way more effective than autotune. If you have to go overboard with it, it's 10000000% better to just get a few good vocal takes! (And some singing lessons if you can afford them)

Ah yes, Melodyne is amazing software! I also own it but i have reserved myself from using it heavily so that my own performances do not become lazy by fully relying on it, unless you want that true t-pain sound ;). Nonetheless, very useful for cleaning up those parts in a near perfect take!
