Asa is gold. Asa is bigger in France and Europe than in Nigeria.

In Nigeria majority of popular music listeners prefer loud music with catch phrases admonishing listeners to dance and shake bum-bum while basking in the endless flow of cash supplied by Baba God.
Five years from now, no one will remember the songs topping the charts today.

Listening to a love song like "Bi’ban ké", one can feel the depth of the emotion expressed by the singer and the brilliant poetry. When I first listened to this song with understanding years back , I shed tears.

I am not against celebrating foreign musicians that are good, no. The idea is that our local contents should not be allowed to waste due to lack of support and encouragement, musicians are custodians of our cultures and lifestyle, to extinct them is to lose our heritage.

Tonight my playlist revolves around Asa's music.
