Steemit Music - The REAL next big thing?

Imagine a social media platform that pays you for your music plays? Possible?

There are many musicians out there that are unnoticed in this world. How many time have you heard someone live or on the internet that sounds amazing and doesn't have a big fan base. And realistically they are probably working a job and playing on the side because they are broke.

Look at how youtube has brought some of these people to life and gave them a shot. Finally you can get the exposure you need to reach a fan base that craves your sound.

I propose an idea where a platform like Steemit (minus the negative flagging system) creates a music platform where an artist can upload their music AND GET PAID! This could be the break many musicians like myself need to reach a desirable fan base. The more people upvote your music, the more you earn.

Steemit Music could be the next big thing.

The Steem blockchain is very well suited for something like this. The Steemit.com platform might not be optimal for music, so a new web service is probably needed (as you said). An enterprising developer could potentially make good money by creating that :)

Very true. Big potential!

If some aspiring developer wants to build it. I'd look into help funding it, provided a good marketeer is on board. The technology will not be enough to get masses to adopt it.

It is a good ideia, i have a lot of songs and i don't know how to present to the audience.

sorry bad english.

Yes, it could really help some musicians get exposure and help fund them to keep making music.
