I'm not going to claim that this is Garage Rock. But its a fun frantic 60s dance song and the vid features 60s TV stars!
The song, Keep on Dancing, was originally done by the Avantis in 1963 as a Doo Wop kind of tune. Well the Gentrys got a hold of it and increased the tempo about 100% while bringing up the guitar volume and smoothed out the vocal delivery, creating one of the great oldies to dance to, of all time.
What better to pair this song with, than some classic TV dance scenes! We have Agent 99 from Get Smart, Patty Duke from her show, Mortisha Adams, Batman, Sabrina the witch cousin of Samantha, the Munsters and even the Beverly Hillbillies!
