How much silver and gold are in Daft Punk's helmets?

I came across an article recently explaining that it cost over $60,000 to make the helmets for the famous house duo. This number does not include their outfits, just the 2 helmets alone.

My mind instantly thought of their most recent look:

Could their helmets really be constructed of at least a little silver and gold? I know FX props are expensive but this large price point gave me hope.

Perhaps they are... looking at the cover of their most recent album Random Access Memories- where Thomas is wearing a silver helmet and Guy-Manuel wearing the gold:

After doing some intense research, the short answer is no. HOWEVER, in classic Daft Punk fashion they didn't release the entire information of what the helmets are made of. So there is still hope that they could contain some traces of real silver and gold.

In the first song on the album Random Access Memories, Give Life Back to Music, they repeat the lyrics:

Let the music in tonight
(Just turn on the music)
Let the music of your life
(Give life back to music)

To me, this means that you must let music into your life to be influenced or inspired. But also, you must put YOUR life back into music to influence it in some way. Music and our lives have a cyclic influence on each other that seems to be never ending.

As an avid precious metal stacker and investor, this lesson can still be applied. To gain knowledge you must learn from someone else (such as a mentor), which will then guide you and inspire you to do something incredible. And once you do those incredible things, you can then give back and inspire others to do the same. Once again, another cyclic influence of helping each other to do better.

Or maybe the song has no meaning at all and it just sounded good...
