Tonight i was hanging out with one of the few people that I the gracious government allows us to hang out with and we had conversations that were just incredible. It was a truly incredible night. Just amazing.
Sometimes I feel as though there are certain sound that I have heard throughout my life that really kind of apply to many many different aspects of my life. we all have our own soundtrack so to speak.
Some of it might be silly, some of it might be truly meaningful like of like Gary Oldman's epic character in Leon / The Professional (by the way of there is some reason that you somehow haven't seen that epic film go and find it, or steal it or do whatever you have to to to in order to see that movie because WOW just wow, that is an epic performance by two actors that I think neither or have managed to surpass ever since.

I think that most songs impact a particular person based on their own live and when they happened to be alive. The impact is completely dependent upon how they felt the first time they hear a song and this song or songs will impact them for the rest of their lives and one of these songs
The crazy thing about this song is that when i became a Depeche Mode fan i was really into metal at that particular point in my life but they somehow resonated with me. Even to this day I am affected by this song in a good way many many years later. It just makes me feel good. .
Do you have a song that just kind of hits you in the "feels" when you hear it?
Black Celebration is just a fantastic album across the board but in my opinion this is one of the best songs that DM ever made. While I don't have anywhere near the amount of talent that these guys do this song on its own inspired me to spend $900 on a keyboard and then proceed to fail measurably in trying to replicate their excellence.
I hope there will eventually be a metal remix of this song but try as i might to find it I can't find one.... which surprises me. The best one I can find is this remix, which is really worth listening too as well
Or if you are the type of person that appreciated truly talented people from a musical point of view we have this guy that covers the song on a harp of all things and it is truly beautiful
I've been alive for nearly 50 years at this point, and there are a few songs that always hit me hard... songs that make me feel emotional and Not Like Tonight by Depeche Mode which went largely ignored in the 80's and 90's by western radio stations and MTV (those where things at a time) is still something that makes me almost get tears in my eyes (which is a line in the song) still get to me to this day.
So I ask again.... do you have a song in your mental library that just "gets to you" in your mind?
