Hello dear community, I hope you are very well! I wanted to thank you for such a beautiful receptivity to all, thank you very much for the comments which I cannot answer all because the resources are very fast. But thanks a lot !!
Today I want to talk about a very special opportunity that I had that was to premiere a concert for Violin in my country, being this winner of a Latin Grammy in 2017. But first I want to put them in context telling them a bit of the months before the premiere...
At that time Venezuela was going through a very hard time, because practically EVERYTHING was paralyzed by demonstrations in every corner of the country. There were many deaths and many wounded, where in many regions of this there were curfews, including my state / province.
I have been having busy days for years, basically with classes in the mornings, rehearsals or classes after lunch and rehearsal with the orchestra until 9pm, this being my schedule from Monday to Friday at the time. At the beginning of the demonstrations there were trials that were interrupted by the institution's security personnel because the smoke from the tear pumps reached the test site, and we had to go to our homes. Days later I went from this schedule to being all day locked in the house, and after those days I went to months, where the consequences were to worry about my future, having decay in my spirits.
As a result of this constant mood drops, I decided to do something, something different that would help me to stay focused, within a country that had virtually no focus.
Many things had occurred to me but the one that caught a lot more weight was studying me some new work in the violin. The days went by and I couldn't find anything, because nothing had my full attention until I came to a recording of a Violin concert by a composer I had read about her recently. I listened to it completely and I liked it, it was something very Argentine (which is why, always, especially lately, I have had a very big affection)
The next day, having everything clear, I had remembered that I had a problem because the scores were not on the Internet so the only way to have the scores was to talk to the composer and buy them (which was going to be quite expensive) so it was quite convinced that everything had a sacrifice.
The day after I contacted the composer I had her affirmative answer, thanking me for the interest in her work, giving me one of the most beautiful surprises!
Months later I was able to specify a date with my orchestra, Lara Symphony, after many attempts at dates that were due to printing problems, the concert hall, everything.
Having said all this, I wanted to let everyone who read me know how important this concert is for me and how important Claudia Montero is in my career, because she perhaps without realizing it helped me not to leave the music and stay there, studying, so Thanks for that and thank you dear Claudia! It's amazing how a concert for Violin can help you get out of such difficult times!
This concert as I told you has a born Buenos Aires air, because the composer is Argentina.
In the 3 movements she wanted to make different feelings notice, with very Piazzolla characteristics that are very noticeable.
Here I will attach 3 short videos of each movement, I hope you like it!
Two curious facts, 1) the violinist of the recording that I heard at the time of the concert is one of my professors in the San Martín National Youth Orchestra, what turns around does life not? 2) composer Claudia Montero has already won 4 Latin Grammy currently.
Brilliant, BRILLIANT, performance, so expressive!
