This technique is called Rotoscoping. First they shoot a real actor with a video camera and after that an animator redraws the image frame by frame, thought his or hers prism. The result is a clash between two realities competing and complementing each other. Films like A Scanner Darkly and Waking Life are made with this technique, I highly recommend them if you haven't seen them. Today I want to show you two of my personal favourite music videos made with rotoscoping. Yes you guessed it, it's two girls dancing.
