So many cool bands that made great music, were incredible on stage during live performances, and made crowds go completely wild, were epic during the mid 1970's. Yes the mid 1970's had amazing talent, musicians were fantastic players, and the analog recording studios were state of the art.
All of this great music to choose from so where do I even begin? That's why I like this tune "Don't Call Us We'll Call You" by Sugarloaf. It kind of explains how some of these bands were treated by the record companies, only back then it was nothing like it is today. These musicians always wrote their own material, and then built a following by playing in clubs until they gained traction.
I posted a bootleg version of "Don't Call Us We'll Call You" by Van Halen at the bottom. David Lee Roth sounded like he might have been drunk at the party that they must have played at back in 1975. Eddie Van Halen was learning current top 40 songs for the band back then, and they actually sounded ok.
So here is one of my favorite Sugarloaf songs
