Music Teacher's Games - Interactive Music Education Site

in music •  7 years ago  (edited)

I usually post in music, photography, news, education and political categories but what those few who do follow me don't know is that I am also an old code cutter from way back. As an ancient music educator I put these skills to use by creating and maintaining Music Teacher's Games.

Music Teacher's Games has 18 different music games that teach and drill note names, music symbols, rhythms, intervals, piano keys & guitar. I have also included some interactive lessons and accompanying tests. There is also a "Marks Book" that classroom teachers can use to keep track of the progress of all their students and classes.

The above game, Treble Clef Note Names, drills the names of the lines and spaces. If you are registered and logged in you can save your score and view how you rank with other users.

All the games are free.

All the front end of the games are built upon html5 & Javascript so they are compatible with most devices. Some of the games take up too much screen to be used on mobile phones but all will work with tablets and bigger. The back end is handled by ASP.net and MS SQL Server.

As a programmer I would eventually like to learn enough about blockchain and the steemit API and somehow integrate these games into the blockchain. At this point I'm not sure of all the possibilities. Any direction or guidance is welcome.

Please give them a try and let me know what you think.

Thanks for stopping by!

Enjoy!

That's a helpful site, it'll make learning music more fun for those who are more inclined to games you can play on tech. (The fact that it's free is also a plus ;)

Thanks, the site looks interesting! Nice to know about teaching materials online.
