Diagonal is stunning band from Brighton which perfectly sounds as they from the mid-70s, although they were from late 00s. Their self-titled debut album released by adorable indie label Rise Above has everything you need for good prog-rock record – reach composing, brilliant performance and multiple theme and mood shifts under integral atmosphere. The mood of the whole record is built so solidly it’s hard to separate any single track but I dare to formally pick the «Pact» – amazing piece that combines all the best that Diagonal have to offer. Just check it if you love to find beauty in difficult things.
