Some time ago I did some articles referring to this topic and I want to re-post it.

It really seems to me essential that every musician has at least some basic knowledge of marketing to make known his art, mainly in our country. Since there are no specialized producers on this subject and also for the independent producers that arise every day, the competition has increased wildly.

In this introductory article I will talk about why certain things in the world of music, some myths, etc.

Personal Brand: It is a type of strategy commonly used in the music industry as it tries to build an ideal profile of the person or group for a certain audience. This helps people quickly sympathize with the group, thus helping to spread a song much faster and more viral.

It is a very efficient sales strategy since everything revolves around the artist or the members of the group, giving the impression that they are fun, cheerful or sober, mysterious. Etc.

-Diffusion and alliances strategies: Without this we would practically not know many of the groups or singers. Investing in advertising is one of the main goals of a music marketing strategy, but do not spend it to spend, otherwise this is well studied. Formulas applied and recycled that already work. For example:
