Gramatik, a Slovenian hip hop/electronic music producer, is the definition of a game changer. He has been creating and distributing his unique music since 2008. Over the past decade he has used his platform to introduce his +700,000 monthly Spotify listeners, +500,000 fans on Facebook and his 76,800 Twitter followers to the message of decentralization, cryptocurrencies, and blockchain technology.
Gramatik has never shied away from making noise in the industry. In 2013, he established his own record label, Lowtemp. With his new found freedom he was able to pursue his idea of making music a free medium. In his lastest project, Gramatik has teamed up with Singular-DTV, a blockchain entertainment studio, to become their first "Crypto Artist". SingularDTV, with the help of artists like Gramatik, are laying the ground work for an alternative to the current, centrally controlled, entertainment industry. With the goal of returning the power and control to the creators.
In today's current system, a middleman controls an artist's processes, property, and profits. This new system completely decentralizes the entertainment industry, allowing artists to unleash their creativity, control their material, and profit accordingly. It also allows the fan or consumers to determine what an artist's product is worth, via tokenization. It won't be long before other artists like Gramatik, who embrace technology and understand its potential, follow suit.
Gramatik is a forward thinker and a true revolutionary in the music industry. With his reach and platform, he has the potential to continue to do amazingly positive things for the cryptosphere. He is already using his music and social networking to spread the ideas of decentralization, cryptocurrencies, and blockchain technology to many of his fans who would otherwise be in the dark.
