Eden hits different and the same, all at the same time but also at different times.

Tonight, I listened to "Eden", a 1984 album by the British jazz-pop band Everything But The Girl. It made a huge impression on me when I first heard it as a teenager.

And listening to it again tonight, for the first time in decades, I could still understand why. It still resonated. It also brought back lots of memories of my early attempts to understand how everything in music worked: song structures, chord changes, key changes, lyrics, instrumentation, etc.

Here are a couple of my faves from the album: "Each and Every One" and "Tender Blue". Hope you enjoy.
